Short Articles on Islamic Law

Islamic Law--what it is and what it may mean for people in many parts of the world--is an important topic which is rarely thoroughly discussed, if ever. A few years ago I wrote this series of articles for a Canadian fortnightly. The context was the discussion in Canada of the possibility of Islamic Law in the province of Ontario. Some Muslims had argued that it should be applied to Muslim families there. The first article provides some context, the next four treat specific themes in Islamic Law, and the last article describes one response from a scholarly Christian perspective.
